|No special skills, extensive training, or manuals required. A shared mailbox can be set up in a matter of minutes.
|Each individual member of a shared mailbox can access the mailbox using his or her individual email login credentials.
|In Rediffmail for Work, a user’s shared mailboxes appear under the “folders” section.
|Contact lists in a shared mailbox are also fully available for use to every team member who has access to that mailbox.
|You can also create a shared mailbox for delegation. Use your existing account, and delegate some responsibility to other members of your team. For example, you could grant limited access of your account to your assistant, who can then help you organize your emails, follow up with people, and more.
|If a user replies to a message in a shared mailbox, the reply appears to come from the shared mailbox email address. A user can also (if they have permission to do so) send a message “on behalf of” a shared mailbox. The message will appear to come from “Username on behalf of <Shared Mailbox>”
|Typically, shared mailboxes are used by companies trying to consolidate the incoming and outgoing messages of a particular team in their company. For example, email addresses such as firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com can be shared among their respective team members.
